Explode

Explode refers to a dice mechanic in which rolling the maximum value (or qualifying value) immediately produces an extra copy of the rolled die as a Versatile Bonus. This is most relevant to the d12 die that is rolled in most checks, rolling a 12 produces a Meta Dice, an md12 that can be applied in any believable way for the check or interaction.

Unless specified or gained through a Meta-Power: No other die can explode in this way, even if they roll their maximum value. And Meta-dice don't explode even if they are based on a d12.
